After achieving an Engineering degree from the University of Manchester, Amita spent most of her career working in the IT industry. She then took a break to raise her three children (all now in their late teens), re-entering the working world as a ‘Reading Teacher’ & Librarian in a Montessori primary school, where she worked for six years.This platform allowed her to impart her love and passion for books and reading to all ages and abilities.
She truly believes that given the right environment and care, all children can discover an inner joy to learn and become the best version of themselves given their own unique talents and skillset. In her spare time, Amita enjoys running, reading and gardening.
