Anna Davies
Music Teacher
Anna graduated from Reading University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Education, Music Specialism. She has worked in both Slough and Reading before joining the team here in September 2020. Throughout her teaching career, she has been a class teacher in Year 4, 5 and 6 alongside teaching music across KS1 and KS2 and several middle leadership roles. As well as Music, Anna is passionate about building children’s enthusiasm for reading and writing having previously been an English Lead, and often brings elements of these into her music lessons.
Her main instruments are voice and viola however she can play a variety of other instruments alongside them. She has experience of running a variety of school clubs such as choirs and music ensembles alongside previously leading an adult Gospel Choir. She is a member of the British Police Symphony Orchestra performing in venues up and down the country throughout the year.
Outside of school, Anna enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves baking, going to parks with her son, having film nights and visiting the theatre when possible. As lots of her family still live in Northern Ireland, Anna tries to make regular trips to visit them in school holidays.
