Heather Murray

I have been living in the Montague Park development for 6 years with both my children attending Floreat Montague Park School. In this time, I have watched them and the school grow. I am proud to say that our family commitment to the school is long term.

As well as the growth and improvement the school has seen by way of culture, education and numbers, like any other institution, it has had its challenges. In the SSB role I am proud and excited to be part of the whole journey and to help shape the agendas that will take the school further into its development and future for the community. 

In my role as a People Business Partner at Royal Berkshire Hospital, I am deeply involved at a senior level in strategies that shape the type of services many of us rely on. I am responsible for holding senior leaders and the executive to account to ensure they are doing the right thing for patients. 

Supporting positive mental health is something I am hugely passionate about; this would be one of the key areas I would like to explore with the Leadership team to work together in enhancing the fantastic job they do, for both children and staff. 

For several years I have been an active volunteer fund raising with ‘Friends of Floreat Montage Park’ the school PTFA, together we have overcome challenges and achieved great things. I love working with the other parents to help and benefit the school and get a lot of joy from doing so.
